Dr. Mandal is
currently Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the
Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He has been involved in
teaching, research, design and consultancy for over twenty years.
Dr. Mandal joined the Civil Engineering Department, Jadavpur
University in June 1991 as lecturer and received an appointment as
Reader in the Department of construction Engineering, Jadavpur
University in 1994. He again joined in the Department of Civil
Engineering in 1995 and finally he was promoted to Professor in the
Department of Civil Engineering in 2003. His expertise is mainly in
concrete structures and materials.
Dr. Mandal has lectured extensively in different institutes
in abroad like Canada, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, China,
Singapore, Thailand and Bangladesh. Recently, he has got experience
of research work at Department of Civil Engineering, Monash
University, Australia , Ryerson University ,Canada and National
University of Singapore, Singapore.
Professor Mandal has had the privilege to guide and train
Ph.D and Master students leading to the publication of over 35
refereed papers in Journals and Conferences. He has also reviewed a
number of research papers for Indian Concrete Journal (ICJ) and
Cement and Concrete Research , (Elsevier Publication).
He is also a member of the Faculty Council for Under Graduate and
Post Graduate Studies in Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata
for 1998-2002 and 2005-2009.
